Rates

The cost of editing depends on the nature of the project, page* count, and the amount of editing necessary. Material that is clean and well organized will cost less in editing time than material that needs a bit more work to improve organization, sentence flow, and clarity.

Before we start work together, I will provide a custom estimate so you can anticipate costs.

*A page is defined as letter-size paper, 12 point Times New Roman font, double spaced, with one-inch margins. Typical word count per page is 250.

Payment

Short-term projects are billed upon completion of the work.

For large projects, a deposit will be requested to reserve copyediting time. This deposit will be applied to any production hours incurred from the date of receipt. Additional increments will be based on production hours and billed accordingly. This arrangement works well to distribute costs of a large project in installments.

Invoiced charges are due within 30 days of the invoice date. Direct payment can be made by cash or check, payable to Line by Line Copyediting. Online payment with a debit or credit card can be made through PayPal, using the Pay Now button below. This will take you to the PayPal website to complete the transaction.

Confidentiality

You can be assured that your work is kept in the strictest confidence. Information will not be shared with any outside party unless directed by you. In addition, all work is by law copyright protected to the author or originator upon creation.

Your satisfaction is important. I will work closely with you throughout the process to ensure that the project is on target with your expectations. If you are not completely satisfied with the quality of work for the copyediting service, I will work with you to find a solution.
