College-bound students are often required to submit essays along with their application paperwork. This is an important piece of the admissions process, and essays that shine will leave a positive impression with school administrators. However, not everyone is comfortable with grammar and punctuation, and the words become so familiar to the student that common mistakes and typos slip through. This is where I step in and help students ensure their essays are a reflection of their best work.

In my Admissions Essay service, I focus mainly on grammar, punctuation, consistency, and readability. If other issues such as sentence structure, organization, or flow are noted during the edit, I offer suggestions for the student to incorporate. Throughout the process I am careful to preserve the student’s voice and offer feedback in a constructive, respectful manner.

It is important to note that I review completed essays to clean up mechanics and to ensure the writing is editorially correct rather than counsel students on what to write about. My services fall within the scope of editing without crossing the ethical line of creating content for the student.

$60 for up to three pages* (includes the initial editing review and a final review after updates have been made)

* A standard editing page is letter-size paper (8.5” x 11”), 12-point Times New Roman font, double spaced, with one-inch margins (approximately 250 words).
