Shyla and Dan are international travel experts and founders of Wild Spirit Travel. They also teach the Travel Smart Strategies series of classes aimed to help people learn to travel abroad.

Shyla and Dan came to me with a manuscript based on their Before You Go Abroad class. They intended to self-publish and were in search of an editor to help them through the process.

As we worked together, I made suggestions to improve flow for readability and reviewed the manuscript with an overall eye for clarity and consistency. I also created a style sheet to track terminology and capitalization style. After the copyediting phase was complete and the book designed, I proofread the final PDF before it went to print.

Shyla and Dan have been extremely successful in marketing their book. It reached #1 on Amazon for both Travel Tips and Solo Travel categories. It is carried in numerous libraries across the Pacific Northwest and even a few nationwide. They continue to sell the book in several venues and are busy with speaking engagements to share their valuable travel tips with various groups.
