Project Description
Lanette Clark, author of Herstory
Lanette had a very personal story that she wanted to share with her children and broader audience. She was planning to have it printed and distributed through CreateSpace. It was very important to Lanette to work with an editor that she trusted would keep the story true to its form, and I am honored that she chose me.
I worked with Lanette to improve the flow of her story and to make some areas more concise. I also pointed out sections that did not quite make sense so she could fill in the details for better reader understandability. I created a style sheet to track spelling and capitalization, as well as character names, place names, and other elements of the story. After the copyediting phase was complete, I reviewed the designed document to ensure the formatting had not changed after it was converted into a printer-ready format and proofread the final PDF before it was printed.
